His New School Bag

I got my boy a backpack from Jusco 1U after weighing the pros and cons of both backpack and trolley bag.  I got it at a 10% discount + 15% cash rebate from my credit card a week before school reopened.  I had been contemplating over the school holidays if I should get him the Impact backpack, designed specifically for spinal protection but then I shuddered over the price tag of RM369.90 even with a 15% cash rebate, it's still freaking expensive..  A mommy of my boy's classmate bought a SPI brand backpack,  a popular brand from HK and she paid RM200++ for it.  Something just struck me that I should seriously consider this school bag business should I intend to venture into business one day.  With all the kids burdened with books and more books... and with a good and innovation marketing plan.. hey, there's a big market out there, don't you think?

Coming back to the new bag, beggars can't be choosers, right?  As I was reluctant to part with a big chunk of money, I settled for this one which was only less than a third of the price of Impact and I reckoned it wasn't too bad after all.  What I find most useful for my "blur sotong" boy is the inner suspensions traps to hold contents in real vertical position for better visibility.

Well ventilated cushioned grooves backing

Built in compartments and suspension straps

To ease and balance the heavy load, he has a hand carry bag (not in pic) for smaller stuff such as exercise books, his lunch box and water tumbler.  This will be the arrangement for now and so far he has not complained of any discomfort or backache from carrying the backpack on his back.  Kids these days...

Wow, RM300+!! Such luxury kids nowadays have. And mothers want the best for their children - ergonomic to use too!

Like Yan, I used the rattan-opened school bag because I found it very trendy and cool - one bad point, it rains, be prepared for wet books and stationary.

Hi, Aloha Molly, It's Star Empire brand. I got this from Jusco, 1 Utama. They have a detachable trolley version too where you can use as backpack or trolley bag. Hope this helps. :)
