A Teacher That Humiliates

My boy always comes home with tales and stories from school.  This is one of them.

Boy: Mommy, today Cikgu S (a Malay teacher who teaches them BM) asked one of the girls in our class the 'kata dasar' for 'berakhlak' and the girl answered, 'berak'.  Teacher made a joke of her and she cried.  Everyone in the class laughed.

Mom: Did you laugh too?

Boy: Yuupp (sheepishly), I couldn't stand it as everyone laughed.

**********************************

On another day and it happened to the same girl too.

Boy: Mom, yesterday Cikgu S pointed out this girl in our class wrote "gugu kelas" instead of "guru kelas".  He said, "apa 'char kuey teow' ini gugu"? The whole class laughed and of course the girl cried.

**********************************

It might appear to some as a funny and harmless wake-up joke to the otherwise boring session but this BM teacher hor, during normal days when he marks his students' books, he marks with both his eyes closed, hardly bothers to correct any mistakes. But when it comes to marking exam papers, his eyes are widely open and marks will be deducted for every teeny-weeny mistake. I pity the girl who has to endure such humiliations by an undedicated teacher.

This is a big problem. Marking exercise books and exam papers with different attitude. If exercise books have mistake, the mistake will be carried on to exam paper. Very irresponsible teacher. Pity the poor girl, being humiliated by him like that.

That's just so so terrible for a male teacher to humiliate and cause so much embarrassment to a young girl. I am sure she hates her BM lessons from this teacher. He's a terrible teacher for not marking the books as the kids will never learn though they had made mistakes. Hopefully someone will highlight this teacher's wrong doings to the headmaster.

I pity the girl, she doesn't deserve such humiliation. It's not right for a teacher to act that way. He should guide the girl and not mock her, sigh.

I wouldn't want these kind of teachers to teach my girl.

My heart goes out to the girl. That teacher is such an idiot and definitely not fit to be a teacher at all. We can only teach our children not to laugh at their friends when such people make a joke like that.

Some of these teachers can be so insensitive...and to think they even have a degree!!! What on earth did they study? How on earth were they trained?

My daughter's on her last leg to becoming a teacher. The lecturer came and criticised everything from top to bottom, her voice so gentle, not assertive, her record book not colourful, not done beautifully, the classroom this and that...and not a word about what matters most - the lesson, whether it was good or bad. The poor girl cried for days - felt so humiliated.

I can bet my bottom dollar that guy's a lousy teacher/lecturer himself - heard he was always late for class!
