Happy 73rd Birthday, Yeh Yeh!

The interior

We celebrated my father in-law's birthday at Crowne Plaza Mutiara KL last Sunday.  We had their i-hop buffet where we got to "hop" from one restaurant to another and there're 4 restaurants in all.  We had our table at Planter's Inn restaurant where we got to enjoy Malay, Indian and Chinese cuisine and hop to Club Bar for steaks and western desserts. At Glass Lounge, we got to enjoy an array of seafood and Japanese cuisine and last but not least hop to the poolside for some Aussie BBQ.

Having said that, all of us mutually agreed that the food there was only so-so, nothing to shout about honestly and the hopping concept was nothing other than a marketing gimmick to lure customers.  The food could have been presented in one restaurant than to spread across four of them but hubby thought otherwise.  He joked with all the food spreaded across the restaurants and all the walking to reach those food, in a way it burns  calories faster and we ended  up eating more.  So, eating more literally means value for money, right?  Hahaha... such kiasu attitude.  Anyway, just a joke.

Presenting to you, our little waiter with his dream car. :)

Happy 73rd Birthday, Yeh Yeh!

The lady singer sang a birthday song and a couple of oldies for the birthday boy.   One thing worth mentioning here was the waiter was ever helpful that he voluntarily arranged the slices of quiche, strawberry and chocolate in a creative manner to resemble a birthday cake just for Yeh Yeh.

You indulged in a lot of good food recently. Good that there is a kid buffet corner. But the buffet looked quite good to me. Yeh Yeh looked younger than 74.

Happy belated birthday to Ian's yeh yeh. Your husband remarks about the i-hop buffet is reasonable :) I prefer to walk after a heavy delicious buffet although the calories burning might not be as much as running on a treadmill.

Ian is so smart with his butterfly bow ties. A potential Bond look-alike ;)

Happy belated birthday to Ian's yeh yeh!!

I have to agree with Sheoh Yan, you're having a lot food post lately! hahahahahha

Hopping form one restaurant to another one? Sound interesting, but i think it will be quite troublesome to just move to another place for another cuisine. For me, i just like to take the food and sit down and eat and chat.
