Dim Sum Lunch @ Celestial Court, Sheraton Imperial, KL

Hubby's starwood membership is expiring in few months' time and we still have a handful of vouchers to go.  It was funny how we rushed to utilize most of the "complimentary" vouchers during the last month of the membership.  How we had to stuff ourselves silly with one buffet after another every weekend.

Last Monday was a public holiday.  We woke up to a bright and sunny morning and to avoid making the same mistake again, we decided to use one of the vouchers for dim sum lunch and that landed us at Celestial Court.   We love the dim sum there and I blogged about it here and here.

We ordered Chrysanthemum tea, RM5 per head

Century egg & chicken Congee @RM23

Siew Mai with mini abalones and fish roe @RM13/basket

Siew Long Pao @RM13/basket.  We ordered 2 baskets

Shredded ginger and soy sauce to be eaten with siew long pau

I had one and hubby polished off the rest!  He is a die hard fan of siew long pau..

Beancurd rolls @ RM12

Oyster coated fried dumpling @RM15

Crystal dumpling @RM12

Pan Fried radish cake @ RM20

XO sauce to be eaten with radish cake

E-Fu Noodles @ RM28

Chilled almond jelly with longans - complimentary

The jelly was so smooth and silky with just the right hint of almond.  I likey..

Chilled Avocado cream with coconut ice-cream - complimentary

The staff there was very attentive and helpful.  They would politely inform you that the food you ordered was sufficient for the number of pax so there would be no wastage of food.  Even if you only realised you ordered too much at the end of the meal, they would be happy to pack the unfinished food for you to bring home at your request.  My boy loved his avocado dessert so much and one of the staff overheard our conversation.  She went the extra mile of giving me the recipe and emphasizing on how easy to make the dessert.  Thumbs up!  Eh... There's more.. There was a long wait before our bill came so I highlighted it to one of the staff and we got the two desserts FOC!

One downside though,, the beefball we ordered never came but it was charged to our bill.. nevermind.. just a small hiccup.. the complimentary desserts and 5-star service kind of made up to it. Lol..

The bill came to RM205 including service charges and taxes. With our RM200 cash voucher, we only paid RM5 for our dim sum lunch.  Overall, we had a pleasant and satisfying meal.

Signing off with a pic of our boy..

After filling up his tummy, the boy kept himself busy sniffing the many types of teas on display at the entrance of the restaurant and insisted I did the same on some of his favs. :O
