Getting Back Behind The Wheels Again

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

My mother in-law was diagnosed with osteoarthritis when I was still pregnant with my son.  If you have arthritis, some or all of those movements may be painful and your range of motion can be limited.  Being an active person that she was and still is, the hardest part for her may be admitting that driving has become difficult and dangerous.  She was advised against driving by her rheumatologist and depends on my father in-law to chauffeur her around.

I stumbled upon NMEDA, a non-profit trade association and the only association that promotes safe driving and equipment for disabled people whilst web surfing.

NMEDA has Dealers AND Quality Assurance Program (QAP) dealers.  NMEDA Dealers are members who conduct active business including sales, installation, and/or service of mobility and adaptive equipment. NMEDA members are required to adhere to the safety standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and to follow the NMEDA Guidelines.

The Quality Assurance Program (QAP) is a recognized accreditation program for the mobility equipment industry. The program was developed to promote quality, safety, and reliability within the industry. Some states now require a dealer's participation in the QAP to perform work for the Vocational Rehabilitation Programs. The QAP is the only program of this nature developed for the mobility equipment industry. A QAP designation enhances vehicle modification and mobility equipment installation in a manner consistent with the highest guidelines available in the industry.

I am glad that I found this website and how a NMEDA dealer can help my mother in-law get back onto the road of independence is really inspiring and gives hope to other elderly in her situation to stay mobile once again.

Try E-Bene, available at all leading pharmacies...for wrists. I use for ankles, seems effective.
