On School Days...

Brocolli with bean curd skin and minced chicken, fried eggs with long bean and bayam soup:
Our lunch for today

These are my boy's typical meals during school days, 2 dishes and a soup usually.  At his request, I packed him a chicken burger topped with a fried egg for his tea break at school today .

When weekends and public holidays come, I tend to get lazy and we eat out most of the time, sometimes make do with homemade quick and simple dishes such as carbonara sphagetti and sandwiches.

What about you, especially those with school going children?

I think it's quite tough to come up with everyday-menu for school-going kids. I have limited recipes in my cooking book :p
Normally would repeat the same dish in the shortest period and my girl would say, "Arr... this again?" hehhe.....

Wow, that's really a lot of effort on mommy's part in making sure your kids have a balanced and good meal! Thumbs up to you! As for me, I don't want to think about my son's school-going yrs yet becos I know I will have to face this meal issue soon and I don't have any plans in store yet!

I cook this type of dishes or may be simpler than yours on Sunday only. Other days, my MIL cooks, and I take away from her place.

Yvonne: Me too, very limited recipes but I am lucky enough to have a non-fussy eater at home. :)

Claire: simple and balance meal. I hardly cook "complicated" dishes as I don't know how to. Hahaha..

mnhl: Yes, he like greens, selective greens, not all though.

Barb: ya, simple and easy to prepare.

Alice: very easy and simple to prepare. I am lucky to be blessed with a non-fussy eater.

Yan: You're blessed to have your mom in-law to take care of the weekdays' cooking. :)

Hayley: simple yet healthy. :)

Miche: Your kids are blessed with a mom that can cook up a storm. I can only cook simple dishes and lucky that my son enjoys eating his homecooked meals. Hahaha..
